Workshop on Leveraging Leadership on 13.1.2015
Improving leadership skills among lawyers will not just create a positive ripple in law firms, but also enhance interaction with clients and colleagues. The Bar Council, in collaboration with the Association of Women Lawyers, Malaysia (“AWL”), is conducting a half-day workshop to develop your skills to become a better leader in your law firm, as well as a more effective and empowered member of the legal community.
This interactive session will deliver:
• an understanding of personal and professional leadership;
• a glimpse of the realities of leadership deficits; and
• insights into practical skills needed to strengthen leadership abilities.
Through this workshop, you will be enabled to implement concrete steps to build a more successful law firm that thrives on respect, fairness and dignity for all.
AWL is a non-governmental organisation responsible primarily for the promotion of the rights, welfare and professional development of women lawyers and law graduates in Malaysia. It aims to work towards the elimination of discrimination and ensure full and equal participation of women in the legal profession and related fields. AWL is part of the Joint Action Group for Gender Equality, a coalition dedicated to promoting gender equality and ending gender discrimination.
The workshop will be conducted by Noreen Preusser, Director and Lead Facilitator at Silvis. It will be held on 13 January 2015 at the Raja Aziz Addruse Auditorium of Bar Council, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. The circular can be accessed here.
