On 24 October 2015, AWL together with the Bar Council, Advance Tertiary College (ATC) and the rest of the GEI committee (INTI International University, Brickfields Asia College, Taylor's University, KDU University College) organised a Moot Court Competition at ATC's Kuala Lumpur campus. The Moot Problem, or "Brief to Counsel" as it was called was based on issues such as sexual harassment and discrimination against those who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual (LGBT). The Brief to Counsel was drafted by AWL's Treasurer, Daniella Zulkifili.

A total of 6 teams from ATC, INTI International University, Brickfields Asia College and Taylor's University participated in the competition. Participants were divided into teams of 2 to 3 people who appear before the "Court of Appeal" as either the Appellant or Respondent. Each mooter would have about 20 to 25 minutes to try to persuade the bench into deciding in favour of his or her client.

The competition, which began at 9.00 am and ended at about 7pm was a success, and ATC's team emerged as champions while INTI were first runners up. Chai Chin Wuen of ATC brought home the Best Mooter trophy. ATC will keep the AWL Championship Trophy until 2016.

The event was a success and the GEI committee hopes to continue organising similar events in the future. Congratulations to all the participants, and a big thank you to the organising committee for a job well done!
